Off the chain, learning to trust

CocoBrave

Coco lived at the end of a chain in a cold backyard. No kennel through the winter storms, little shade in summer, and some days no food or water. She is still a very scared young girl, but every walk brings a bit more courage.

How adoption works

Strict on purpose. For the dog's sake.

Our rules exist because these dogs have already been failed once.

  1. Apply

Send the short application below. It lands with our adoptions team on WhatsApp or email.

  2. Meet

We talk about your home and family and introduce you to the dog we think fits best.

  3. Home check

We visit your home. Dogs live inside, are never chained and wear an ID tag.

  4. Go home

Sign the contract, pay the adoption fee and take your dog home. We check in afterwards too.

Adoption FAQ

Good questions. Straight answers.

What does the adoption fee cover?

The adoption fee covers vaccinations, deworming, microchipping and sterilisation. We confirm the current fee when you apply. Payment must reflect in our bank account before your dog goes home.

Are your Pitbulls safe with children?

Every dog is assessed before adoption, and we tell you honestly where a dog will thrive. Some dogs, like Terry, need an experienced home. Tell us about your family and we will help you find the right match.

Do you do home checks?

Yes. We do strict home checks before and after adoption. Your dog must live inside your home, may never be chained and must wear a collar or harness with an ID tag.

What if I adopt a puppy?

Puppies go home vaccinated and dewormed. Sterilisation at six months is part of the adoption contract, and for our current puppies Underdogs pays for it.

What if it does not work out?

Underdogs dogs always come back to us. Our contract does not allow you to sell, give away or rehome the dog yourself, so the dog is never lost in the system.

How do I apply?

Fill in the short application on this page, or send Estelle or Nikita a WhatsApp during office hours. If we cannot answer straight away, leave a detailed written message and we will get back to you.
